Goodness of Green (“G.O.G,” “we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to safeguarding your personal information. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes what we collect, how we use and share it, how we secure it, and the choices available to you.

This Policy applies to personal information collected through our websites and mobile sites, social media pages we control, and in connection with our products and services in India (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you consent to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Scope (India). We process personal data in accordance with applicable Indian laws, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 (and rules thereunder) and, where in force, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and related rules/notifications.

1) Definitions

  • Personal Information / Personal Data: Information that identifies or relates to an identifiable individual (alone or in combination), such as name, contact details, device identifiers, and online activity data. Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot reasonably identify you is not Personal Information.
  • Sensitive Personal Data: As may be defined under applicable law (e.g., financial information, health information, etc.).

2) Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information when you use the Services, interact with us, or transact with us:

  • Identifiers & Contact Details: Name, email address, phone number, postal/billing/shipping address, age/date of birth (if provided), and social media handle.
  • Account & Transaction Data: Username, password, login history, order history, wishlists, cart details, invoices, returns, and customer support records.
  • Payment Information: UPI ID, card or bank details processed via our payment partners Razorpay. We do not store full card numbers; our payment partners process them securely.
  • Communications & Submissions: Product reviews/ratings, survey responses, queries about product usage, adverse event reports you choose to share.
  • Health Information (optional): Limited details you voluntarily provide about experiences with our nutraceutical products (e.g., adverse reactions) so we can support you and meet compliance obligations.
  • Device/Usage Data: IP address, device type, OS/browser, app version, language, geolocation (approximate), pages viewed, time on site, referring/exit pages, and interactions collected via cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies.
  • Social Media Data: Information made available to us when you engage with our pages or campaigns on platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, YouTube), per their settings/policies.
  • Information from Third Parties: Marketing partners, analytics providers, fraud prevention services, logistics providers, and publicly available sources.

3) How We Use Personal Information

We use Personal Information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Services and your account.
  • Process, fulfill, track, and deliver orders; manage payments, refunds, and customer support.
  • Communicate with you about orders, accounts, security alerts, and policy updates.

Where required by law, we rely on your consent for specified purposes. In other cases, we rely on legitimate uses such as providing the Services you request, compliance with legal obligations, or protecting our rights and users.

4) Cookies, Analytics & Advertising

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, SDKs, and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, analyze usage, and measure/serve advertising.

  • Essential Cookies: Required for core site functions (e.g., cart, checkout).
  • Performance/Analytics: Understand how the Services are used (e.g., app/site diagnostics).
  • Advertising/Retargeting: Show ads based on your interests and measure campaign performance (may occur on our sites or third-party sites/apps).

Your Choices: You can manage cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect site features. Some advertising partners offer opt-outs through their settings or industry pages (e.g., Your Online Choices India / DAA where available). Our Services currently do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals.

5) Sharing of Personal Information

We may share Personal Information as follows:

  • Service Providers / Vendors: With carefully selected providers (e.g., hosting, payment processing, logistics/courier partners, cloud storage, analytics, marketing, customer support) who process data under contractual confidentiality and security obligations and only for specified purposes.
  • Affiliates / Group Entities: With our affiliates for purposes consistent with this Policy.
  • Legal & Compliance: To comply with law, lawful requests, court orders, or to protect our rights, safety, users, and the public; to detect/prevent fraud or security issues.
  • Business Transactions: In connection with mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, financing, sale of assets, or similar events; successors will honor this Policy or provide notice of changes.
  • Aggregated/De-identified Data: We may share insights that do not identify individuals.

We do not sell Personal Information for monetary consideration.

6) Children’s Privacy

Our Services are intended for a general audience and not directed to children. Under Indian law, a child is under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children without verifiable parental consent as required by law, and we do not engage in tracking or targeted advertising directed at children. If you believe a child has provided Personal Information to us, please contact the Grievance Officer (see Contact Us) so we can delete it.

7) Retention

We retain Personal Information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by data category and purpose. When no longer needed, we will delete or de-identify the data in accordance with our retention practices and applicable law.

8) Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls, audit logs). No system is 100% secure; please use unique, strong passwords and safeguard your account credentials. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately.

9) Your Rights & Choices

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access/Know what Personal Information we hold about you.
  • Correct/Update inaccurate or incomplete Personal Information.
  • Delete/Erase Personal Information when no longer necessary or where consent is withdrawn (subject to legal/regulatory or contractual retention requirements).
  • Withdraw Consent for processing that relies on consent (this won’t affect prior processing).
  • Grievance Redressal: Raise concerns about our data practices.

You (or an authorized person acting on your written authorization) may submit requests using the contact details in Contact Us. We may verify your identity before acting on a request and may be unable to proceed where we cannot verify or where an exception applies under law.

Marketing Opt-Outs: You can unsubscribe from marketing emails via the link in those emails. For SMS/WhatsApp/app notifications, follow the instructions provided or contact us.

10) International Transfers

We may process and store Personal Information in India or in other countries/regions where we or our service providers maintain facilities. When we transfer Personal Information outside India, we do so in compliance with applicable Indian law and with appropriate technical and organizational safeguards and contractual protections. Availability of transfers may be subject to government notifications under applicable law.

11) Third-Party Links & Social Media

Our Services may link to third-party websites, apps, or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Policy. Please review their privacy notices and settings.

12) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last Updated” date. Material changes may be notified via the Services or by email where appropriate. Your continued use of the Services after an update signifies your acceptance of the revised Policy.

14) India-Specific Disclosures

  • Consent Management: Where required, we seek clear, specific consent for the stated purpose(s). You may withdraw consent at any time through [account settings/email request]; certain Services may be unavailable after withdrawal.
  • Automated Decision-Making: We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means without appropriate human oversight, as required by law.

15) Payment Partners & Logistics (India)

We partner with third parties to process payments and deliver orders:

  • Payments: Razorpay process your payments on our behalf in accordance with their security certifications and privacy policies. We receive limited transaction metadata (e.g., success/failure, masked card details).
  • Logistics: Shiprocket receive necessary shipping details to deliver your orders and handle returns/exchange logistics.

16) Tracking & Targeted Advertising (India)

We may work with advertising and analytics partners (including platforms such as Google, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), YouTube, X, Amazon Ads, TikTok, and others operating in India) that use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to:

  • Build audiences and show ads that may be more relevant to your interests.
  • Measure ad performance and conversions (including privacy-preserving hashing where applicable).

Opt-Outs: You can manage ad preferences in your platform accounts (e.g., Google Ads Settings, Meta Ad Preferences, YouTube Ad Settings, etc.) and control cookies at the browser level. Some opt-outs are device/browser-specific and may require repeating if you clear cookies or change devices.
